I’m so excited that stripesandsage.com is finally here!!
As most people know, I am probably the worst person with technology and social media…ever! So I’m feeling very proud right now that I’ve actually managed to start my own lifestyle blog.
After reading lots and lots of inspirational and stunning blog posts from lovely ladies all across the world, about starting families and renovating their beautiful homes, I thought it would be the perfect way to tell the story of me and Mr B moving from a tiny London flat, to a beautiful country home in Surrey, ready to start our own family – eek!
So here we go…
I’m a typical girly girl and a lover of all things pretty: flowers, candles, interiors, etc.
The name Stripes & Sage epitomises everything I want to talk about in my blog: my life, and mine and MrB’s move to our new home. The Stripes part of stripesandsage.com is me! I absolutely love stripes and even as I write this, I am wearing my favourite breton and striped socks (don’t judge!). Sage is our new home. Our interior design focus is around sage greens and greys, and represents the renovations that are to follow. From this, stripesandsage.com was born.
I really enjoy taking pretty photographs of everything and anything I find, walks we go on, places we visit…and beautiful food! I absolutely love to cook and bake, and I’m hoping that our new kitchen will be home to lots of new and exciting recipes that I’ll be able to share with all of you. I also hope that I’ll be able to share some fabulous new restaurant finds as we venture around our new surroundings.
I have a huge passion for interior design, and can’t wait to get my hands on each room in our new home! I have become addicted to Pinterest and Instagram in a way I never thought possible (much to Mr B’s delight!) and have been taking inspiration for each room in our house. Luckily Mr B says he is happy for me to take charge of the interior design of the whole house! Yippee!
The truth is, I’m so excited about our new adventure, that I want to document it in some way. I hope that it becomes an honest and positive space, where I can share a little part of our exciting journey.
I hope you enjoy!
